When we chose the equipment for SKIN SCIENCE our foremost thought was the safety and well-being of our clients. We wanted the best so we looked at established manufacturers with proven medical track records and global reputations.  

Lumenis is a US company with a 50 year history in the aesthetic, surgical and ophthalmology fields. Physicians all over the world use Lumenis technology in their treatments and clinical trials so, for our acne therapy, photorejuvenation and hair removal treatments we decided on the Lumenis M22 IPL machine.

The M22, manufactured in Israel, is recognised for it’s safety as well as it’s efficiency and versatility. We have the latest model with advanced optimum pulse technology and dedicated acne and vascular filters. It’s recognized for the ability to customize its treatment parameters to suit skin type and to automatically set safe treatment levels.

For our Collagen Induction Therapy we selected the award-winning German engineered Dermastamp™ system. This is an advanced medical skin needling device giving clinically proven results in skin regeneration and scar repair. It can deliver up to 150 perforations per second and has ‘infuse as you go’ technology to deliver anti-ageing ingredients deep into the skin for even greater effectiveness.

The ENVIRON Ionzyme DFII machine employs another technique developed to infuse active ingredients deeper into the skin. Developed by the celebrated South African doctor, Des Fernandes, this technology uses low frequency sound waves and a pulsed electric current – either alone or in combination – to achieve real improvements in skin health.

Microdermabrasion is a very popular exfoliating procedure. We wanted to move away from the more old-fashioned aggressive treatments so we opted for the latest ECLERIS hydrabrasion system which combines a high precision soft skin exfoliation with a water cleanse to safely deliver a very effective but gentle deep clean. We have three diamond-tip grades so the degree of exfoliation can be gradually stepped up in successive treatments if required.

OMNILUX was our choice for Light Therapy because we believe it’s the best in its class. Built to medical grade specifications it has been used in more than 40 clinical studies and is proven to stimulate the body’s natural healing responses.  The treatment head contains single wavelength LED’s (light emitting diodes of one colour) for optimum light intensity – if you have used other light therapy systems you will notice a difference when you try OMNILUX. We think it’s the most powerful and effective phototherapy currently available
